The Registration Process

Registering a business can be a lengthly process. Listed below are the general requirements, but you may need to obtain other permits. You can employ a Czech or Slovak attorney to file the papers on behalf of your company (sole proprietor). The registration office does not welcome questions from laymen. Many of the foreign consulting and law firms (see Chap. 4) are well-equipped to register Czech and Slovak companies, or you can obtain a list of English and German speaking commercial attorneys from the Czech or Slovak Chamber of Lawyers (see Chap. 4).
