EUROTEL IS THE FIRST TO PRESENT DETAILED DATA
ACCOUNT ON INTERNET
On Monday, 2 April 1998, EuroTel Praha was the first company in the Czech Republic to
launch the operation of a new service with the commercial name Detailed Data Account,
which is designed for mid-sized and large companies - customers with fifteen and more
mobile telephones.
The Detailed Data Account provides immediate, secure, and very convenient access to bills
for mobile telephones via the Internet public data network. The Detailed Data Account
contains both overall monthly billing and total bills for individual mobile telephones, as
well as a detailed breakdown of calls made from individual phone numbers. All data are
constantly available on the Internet, and their abuse is prevented by the encryption of
transferred data and access authorization via a certificate.
Data included on the Detailed Data Account can be viewed on a computer monitor. But the
main benefit is that after transferring data to your own computer, you can continue to
work with them. For example, you can allocate costs in the company's accounting system or
according to individual workplaces, analyze calls made, archive and graphically process
data...
With the Detailed Data Account service, complex administration disappears and data are
available at anytime and in a very well organized form for all authorized employees! For
the new service, you only need a computer with a connection to the Internet and a WWW
browser (Netscape Communicator 4.x, Netscape Navigator 3.x, or MS Internet Explorer 4.x)
According to the analytical company The Yankee Group Europe, EuroTel Praha is even one of
the first three mobile telephone network operators in the world to offer this service.
EuroTel Praha Ltd is a joint venture of SPT TELECOM Inc. (51%) and Atlantic West B.V.
(49%). Atlantic West B.V. is equally owned by Bell Atlantic (NYSE:BELL) and MediaOne
International, which is also known as US WEST International, a part of the MediaOne Group
(NYSE:UMG).
