Fax service
Sending faxes via the EuroTel GSM Global network is technically identical to a standard fax transmission using the public telephone network. The term "fax" in the GSM network does not refer, of course, to a message printed on a sheet of paper, but rather to a data file saved on your laptop computer's hard drive, received from or ready to be sent to another fax machine.

Devices Necessary for FaxTransmission in EuroTel GSM Global Network

* GSM telephone set with a data transfer option
* An activated SIM card with a cellular number for fax transfer
* A portable computer with PCMCIA slot type II and celullar PCMCIA data card (the “PCMCIA” card) with a connecting cable
* User software for data transfer: for example Nokia Mobiline, Delrina WinFax, 602 for GSM etc.

Sending and receiving faxes

* Insert the fax modem PCMCIA card into the PCMCIA slot of your computer.
* With the interconnecting cable connect the PCMCIA card with your mobile telephone’s line interface.
* With the second interconnecting cable connect the line interface with your NMT mobile telephone.
* Turn on your NMT mobile telephone.
* Turn on your computer.
* If you have already installed a PCMCIA card drive, start the program for sending and receiving faxes. If it is not installed, install the PCMCIA card according to the instructions enclosed with the card.
* In the "faxing" program you can then create and send the requested document - fax or receive faxes coming to your cellular fax number.
