Alois Rasin was one of the heads of the National Comittee which assumed the transfer of power from the Austrian officials to the newly formed Czechoslovak Republic in 1918, as the first minister of finance in the Czechoslovak Republic he created strong czech currency. He was assassinated by a communist revolutionary, it is the only assassination of the important politican so far.
